This paper aims at highlighting the advantages of a multi-body modeling approach, adapted to all kinds of satellites. This approach provides not only a linearized satellite model at a nominal parametric configuration, but also a linearized parameterized model valid on a parametric range. The resulting dynamic models are representative of the couplings between different axes and of the impact of the flexibility. The two contributions of the paper concern the suitability of such dynamic models to simulation purposes and the parameterization of the overall satellite model with regards to the tilt of a flexible appendage, useful for a parametric sensitivity study.
