Abstract:

Astro- and Feinwerktechnik Adlershof GmbH develops reaction wheels since 1997. The newest type of Astro- und Feinwerktechnik Adlershof GmbH’s reaction wheels is the RW 1. It is a reaction wheel for pico and nano satellites. Unlike the other reaction wheels of Astro- und Feinwerktechnik Adlershof GmbH the RW 1 has external wheel drive electronics for supporting up to four wheels. Despite its small dimension the RW 1 is a precise, adaptive and space qualified reaction wheel.
